Glass Beads

I purchased this necklace to go with my blue dress for Bonnie's Wedding.  I think it is colorful and fun.... hopefully it will work.  Now - I need to buy shoes.

Check out the Shower Pictures slide show at the bottom of this page!

Our Box Turtle - Roxy!

Roxy visited us 3 times last summer.  I have been watching for her this spring.  This morning, I was lucky enough to receive a visit from Miss Roxy.  Box Turtles live in the same territory for many years.  We never more Miss Roxy but we look for her often.  It's funny.... I always see her on rainy days.  I wonder if there is a correlation.  For more information on Eastern Box Turtles ....

Bonnie visits West Virginia with Geno!

Bonnie and Geno arrived in Keyser around 12:30 on Friday.  I had meetings until 3:30 but Mary, Geno and Bonnie were able to spend the afternoon at home.  Mary introduced Geno to her neighborhood friend, Nadia.  It was a beautiful afternoon.  Ray picked Mary up at 3:45 to spend the weekend in Hollidaysburg.  Bonnie and I are enjoying each others company and hanging out.  We went for a nice walk and I showed her Pebbleshire and made her take a short cut through the forbidden field.  We made it - no gun shots!

Today we plan to make pickled eggs for Dean, sew a bit and continue to enjoy each others company.  Geno and Charlie are slowly beginning to get along.  They are kinda jealous of each other.  I just let Charlie Cat in the house and the first thing he did was eat Geno's food.

2nd Grade Field Trip to the Zoo

Mary holds a snake!  Yuk!  I made her take a shower before we headed out to the movies.  Letters for Juliet is wonderful!  I cried and so did Mary!  My friend Teresa teaches second grade at KPMS.  She took the picture.  Thank you, Teresa!

Bonnie's Shower

Bonnie's shower was on Saturday.  I stressed for weeks trying to get everything done in time.  I did.  Bonnie's bridesmaids put on the shower.  I just stressed over making my gift and other small tasks that I needed to do.  Bonnie has wonderful friends and fabulous future sisters.  The shower was fun and I had no need to worry.  I brought my camera and forgot to take pictures.  I was too busy having fun with the girls.  Sara and Nathan drove up from Tennessee.  I stole these pictures off of Bonnie's blog.  Sorry Sweetie.

The shower was so much fun.  The food was delicious and the company was jovial.  Bonnie was the so sweet.  She cried!  It was a day to remember. I wish I had remembered to get a picture of Bonnie and me.  oops...so much to think about.

Kate's Graduation!

Kate graduated on May 8, 2010.  It has been such a hectic month that I haven't had time to post pictures.  The day was a bit chilly with rain and wind but everyone was in good spirits and had a wonderful time.  Kate look fabulous as always.  I love the pictures with Bonnie and Dean.  We only had four tickets so Anna and Mary were not at the ceremony.  I wish we had gotten pictures with them to celebrate the day but hindsight is 20/20 and I didn't think of it until now.  Kate picked out the outfit that I wore.  She is such a big help where fashion is concerned.  Kate has a knack.

Yes - I let my kitty sit on the table!

Post Secret ..... Sometimes during breakfast.... I let Charlie Cat sit on the table while I eat.  He doesn't beg too much or drink too much milk.  I only let him have what I don't want.

Visiting Friends on a Friday night!

Mary , Anna and I went to visit my friend Mary after work Friday evening.  We had a wonderful time.  We went to Mary Ridgel's house sometime in April and Mary has been  wanting to visit again ever since.  2 other couples were there.  We had hamburgers and  hot dogs for dinner and played cards afterwards.  Mary let little Mary ride her horse again.  Mary did very well.  She only fell off once.  Next time we visit Mary will be allowed to use a saddle.  ; )

Beauty Shoppe a la Kate!

Went to Wallie World and bought scissors, hair brush, hair dye and flea powder.  The flea powder was for Charlie Cat aka Charlie C. Stubbs, esq.  I felt the need to explain this to the cashier.... she didn't really care.  Asked if we had fleas and ticks.

Kate is doing a marvelous job cutting Anna's hair.  I have homework but I'm having too much fun with the girls at the moment.  We will post a picture when the highlighting is finished.

Yes, Grandma..... blonde hightlights!

Flowers for Suzie

Mother's Day flowers for me from Roy.  They are adorable!  Yellow is my favorite color!  It was such a sweet surprise.... totally unexpected!  I hope everyone enjoys the picture as much as I am enjoying the flowers!

Charlie Cat has surgery! Poor Kitty

Charlie Cat had been feeling poorly.  He had been very temperamental and not quite himself.  When Anna got home from Pitt she noticed something on the tip of his tail.  However, it wasn't something on the tip of his tail - it was his exposed tail bone.  Och!  The vet said to imagine slamming your finger in a door and when you pulled it out - you were missing the flesh and skin off your finger tip.  That's what Charlie Cat did to his tail.  He is feeling much better now.  He is happy, able to sleep and is just perfectly content.  The vet took off about an inch of his tail.  His new name is Charlie C. Stubbs, esq.  - Charlie Cat Stubbs, esq.

I took a picture of the exposed tail bone but it is too graphic to share.  I'm posting pictures of Charlie after his surgery.  The bandage is to stay on until it falls off in about a week or so.

Mineral County Art Show

It's been a busy week.  The next few weeks are going to be terrible with so much to do.  Kate's graduation is tomorrow.  Pictures will be posted by Sunday night.  Mary had 2 items in the Mineral County Art Show.  Mary is quite the little artist.  ; )
